WA Brick Society using LEGO to help kids in Foster Care!
The WA Brick Society is about to commence a small (but highly beneficial) partnership with the Department of Communities (Cannington District) with the running of a LEGO® group tailored for children in care. We are very excited to help out with the pilot project and hope we can bring some joy to children in foster care, and their carers who will participate. Building with LEGO® is a great way to relax, build on fine motor skills, increase spacial awareness, promote teamwork, social skills, communication and most importantly, just have fun, especially for children who may suffer post traumatic stress disorder. The WA Brick Society is also helping with the donation of LEGO® parts. We look forward to sharing more about this project over the coming months.
